Charmey
Charmet Marc aka Charmey is a french composer based in Budapest (Hungary). He studied composition at the Ecole Normale de Musique, Paris. He learned a lot of things there and forgot it all.
His piano based music is about intimacy and silence… with a lot of Brian Eno, Erik Satie, Yann Tiersen…
Formerly keyboardist on Nuage Project ambient pop band, Charmey is his solo project, debut in 2024, based mainly on piano, Wurlitzer, Una Corda and synths… He’s an active member of the Budapest Piano neo classical association, playing in several venues (Magyar Zene Haza, Harom Hollo, Mom Kult… ) with musicians like Leonard Lehmann, Riccardo Roveda, Wave of Sound (Andor Sanderson), Vaghy, Richard Zalai…
He is the host of the home concerts series Le Salon de Musique Budapest, dedicated to instrumental, mainly neo classical music, and he was asked by famous ruins bar of Budapest Szimpla Kert to continue this programmation in a series of events consecrated to instrumental music.
His debut album “Mononotonies” came out in March 2024. His audience is growing day by day.
