“i sell sleep” is a piano and synth piece that dresses itself in calm, elegant beauty, yet carries an unmistakably unsettling undertone. The creeping textures and stately slow rhythms leave quite an obvious aftertaste of restlessness and disquiet. The music doesn’t care. Dancing around the listener like a mischievous deity, it promises what it never intends to deliver.
